Initial Predictions and Thoughts on the 95th Academy Awards

As we embark into the 95th Academy Awards, there is a great energy that shows there is a great fire welling up, eager for transformation. Jupiter, the planet of miracles and expansion, is moving through Aries—the zodiac sign that always represents the warrior and the pioneer. This favors artists that are embarking in new directions and in new directions. It also favors new beginnings and new transformation on a global level. Because of this, I am titling this awards ceremony as: “All fired up, filled with power to transform.”

Celebrity Astrology Predictions for who will win “Best Picture” at the Oscars

“Everything All At Once.” This film was released on March 11, 2022.

“The Banshees of Inisherin.” This film was released on October 21, 2022.

“The Fabelmans.” This film was released on November 11, 2022.

“Tar.” This film was released on October 7, 2022.

“All Quiet on the Western Front.” This film was released on October 14, 2022.

“Elvis.” This film was released on June 24, 2022.

“Triangle of Sadness.” This film was released on October 7, 2022.

“Women Talking.” This film was released on December 23, 2022.

“Avatar: The Way of Water.” This film was released on December 16, 2022.

Assessment: When it comes to our brilliant contenders for “Best Picture” this year, there are some that are clearly more favored than others. For astrological analysis purposes, all exact birth dates were the “initial release or premiere” listed online and the location of Los Angeles was chosen as place of birth because it is the current home of Hollywood, proper, as well as the host of the Academy Awards. No times of birth were used and a “sunrise chart” was constructed for ech film.

One thing I’d like to point out about all of the films that were created and released during this time is that they all took place near the Jupiter and Neptune conjunction of 2022, which foretells visionary art. This is why I believe all of the pieces chosen for “Best Picture” contenders (as well as even some that were not) will be seen as visionary art as the years pass by. Each was imbued with some form of spiritual, emotional, magical energy that audiences will enjoy for years to come.

Yet, while all of the pictures chosen have clear symbols of power, grace, and glory behind them, some are moreso vehicles for the careers and studios that released them, while others may have a transformative effect on people for decades to come.

For instance, “The Banshees of Inisherin,” “The Fabelmans,” “All Quiet on the Western Front,” and “Avatar: The Way of Water” all have excellent astrology on their side—but they don’t have *quite* as lucky stars as some of the other pictures.

While “Elvis” or “Women Talking” could surely bring a surprise win, almost like a rabbit out of a magician’s hat with Uranus, the planet of the unknown, playing heavily in both charts on this exact day, my top picks are “Everything Everywhere All At Once” because the transiting sun will be conjunct its natal Sun and Jupiter—denoting a great spotlight and tremendous luck—as well as “Triangle of Sadness” and “TAR”—because transiting Jupiter will be opposite both of their suns.

However, I do think that “Everything Everywhere All At Once” embodies the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction more—and also was released closer to that period of time, so my pick goes to that picture ultimately. There is also a greater global psychic outcry tying to this film.

Celebrity Astrology Predictions for who will win “Best Actor” at the Oscars

Austin Butler, “Elvis.” Austin Butler was born on August 17, 1991. This makes him a Leo Sun with a Sagittarius Moon.

Brendan Fraser, “The Whale.” Brendan Fraser was born on December 3, 1968. This makes him a Sagittarius Sun with a Taurus Moon.

Colin Farrell, “The Banshees of Inisherin.” Colin Farrell was born on May 31, 1976. This makes him a Gemini Sun with a Cancer Moon.

Bill Nighy, “Living.” Bill Nighy was born on December 12, 1949. This makes him a Sagittarius Sun with a Virgo Moon.

Paul Mescal, “Aftersun.” Paul Mescal was born on February 2, 1996. This makes him an Aquarius Sun with a Cancer Moon.

Assessment: With so much cosmic favor smiling upon all of these celebrities at this time, you’d wonder who could take the crown? Interestingly enough, upon reviewing the birth charts of Farrell, Nighy, and Mescal there’s actually more opposition than you’d think. While I’m not saying it’s a “total no” when it comes to these celebs, there are too many factors that astrologically favor Austin Butler and Brendan Fraser.

I’m going to put it out on the table: Austin Butler has a glorious assortment of stars behind him, and literally as soon as the event begins, the moon will move into his Descendant. This denotes a tremendous spotlight and favors not only his partners but also the public at large. He will be utterly adored. He will likely be the “winner” of the public recognition and appeal from the entire event (particularly with global female fans), especially with his Mars, denoting sex appeal and strength, linking gorgeously to Jupiter, the planet of miracles. I will say that I think he is one of the luckiest people at this entire event, as he will expand exponentially from here on.

Yet, I actually think the winner of “Best Actor” will be Brendan Fraser. The reason I say this is that on this exact day the sun will sextile his Midheaven—which is an immensely rare and gorgeous period when he is thrust in the spotlight and can dance ever higher. Not only this, but his Jupiter will trine his sun, too. However, I will admit that the sun is transiting opposite his natal Pluto, the planet of rebirth and transformation. On one hand, this is a crisis moment for him, but also a transformation.

While I do think that Butler is “luckier,” I think that this is Fraser’s final bow on a world stage at his greatest height. He has proven himself, transformed, and can both ascend and descend simultaneously.

Celebrity Astrology Predictions for who will win “Best Actress” at the Oscars

Cate Blanchett, “TAR.” Cate Blanchett was born on May 14, 1969. This makes her a Taurus Sun with an Aries Moon.

Michelle Yeoh, “Everything Everywhere All At Once.” Michelle Yeoh was born on August 6, 1962. This makes her a Leo Sun with a Libra Moon.

Ana de Armas, “Blonde.” Ana de Armas was born on April 30, 1988. This makes her a Taurus Sun with a Libra Moon.

Michelle Williams, “The Fabelmans.” Michelle Williams was born on September 9, 1980. This makes her a Virgo Sun with a Virgo Moon.

Andrea Riseborough, “To Leslie.” Andrea Riseborough was born on November 20, 1981. This makes her a Scorpio Sun with a Virgo Moon.

Assessment: Diving forward into the nominees for “Best Actress,” once again the cosmic spotlight is shining upon this group majestically—but for different reasons. First off, I am literally laughing about this as I type it because Andrea Riseborough’s chart speaks of her cunningly ambitious, strategic, and slippery nature to get where she is. Now I’m not disregarding her talent, beauty, or intelligence, she is only moreso ignited than Ana de Armas, who while I do think will have a lovely time at the event, will not be the most applauded. Both Riseborough and Armas actually have a lot of opposition to them astrologically at this time—and I will be honest, there are enemies afoot and people working behind-the-scenes to make sure they do not steal the spotlight.

Then we get to the globally beloved Cate Blanchett and the newfound queen Michelle Yeoh. Both are shining effervescently at this time. While Blanchett has the sun sextile her sun, denoting work finally paying off and her seizing the day, Yeoh has Jupiter, the planet of miracles, linking to her sun at this time. In all honesty, I wouldn’t be entirely shocked if Yeoh walks away the winner of “Best Actress.”

But then after deeply analyzing Michelle Williams’s birth chart, she has so much in her favor: the sun is trine her natal Uranus, denoting positive change is guaranteed with some likely surprises in store; the sun is opposite her natal moon, denoting a tremendous upwelling of emotion; then the moon is conjunct her Midheaven, denoting a greater spotlight is just rising; and then last, but certainly not least, the transiting sun is opposite her Jupiter. In laymen’s terms: she is likely to be the shock win despite the more well intentioned win going to Yeoh.
