AUGUST 2025 ASTROLOGY HOROSCOPE FOR YOUR ZODIAC SIGN

August has arrived and we’re feeling the sizzling heat of Leo Season! I often love August, even if we are experiencing some rocky astrological weather. In truth, August will be very slow due to Mercury retrograde which takes place until August 10 and lingers until August 25. This Mercury retrograde takes place entirely in Leo, so if you’d like to reconnect with an ex or old hobby, this could be a great time to do so.

Also, I want to draw attention to three other main factors this month. As of August 7, we are entering eclipse season. This means that each day we step past this date, we will feel the crackle of electricity in the air as we step toward the upcoming eclipses—a lunar eclipse in Pisces on September 7 and a solar eclipse in Virgo on September 21. Both of these eclipses could be quite challenging, so if hurdles or cosmic storms pop up, it’d be best to lie low and try to hibernate to avoid some of the drama. Expect synchronicities, destined events, and sudden beginnings and endings all to take place in the upcoming weeks. Next to mention is that we have some rare cosmic events, and while they will be exact on certain dates, we are actually feeling them build for months before and after. Saturn, planet of permanence, links in a sweet sextile with Uranus, planet of evolution, on August 11. This energy means that we can institute great change to the structures in our lives—and on a global scale—that have longevity to them, yet also will promote positive growth and expansion. Jupiter, our planet of blessings, will journey into the zodiac sign of Cancer beginning on June 9, 2025 to remain until June 30, 2026. This is one of the most fortunate periods of the Jupiterian cycle, as our Great Benefic is known to be “exalted” in this Water sign. This means that our mighty planet can distribute his greatest blessings, luck, and opportunities to the entire world—regardless of one’s individual zodiac sign. Jupiter, as an archetypical influence, is tied to spirituality, hope, compassion, good will, fortune, favor, generosity, optimism, and faith. Cancer, as a Cardinal Water sign, is aligned with emotion, our roots, family, domesticity, and the home. Yet, the best part of this particular transit is that Jupiter can radiate true humanitarian compassion, allowing us to work in serenity, at peace, and with love. With so much sensitive energy being amplified through the cosmos, this can be a great time of healing—for the past, the present, and the future. The last time Jupiter was in Cancer was from June 25, 2023 until July 16, 2014—so be sure to look back to world events and what was happening in your life to better understand what similar effects may manifest. 2025 brings forth yet another major transition for the human collective. Saturn, the planet of life lessons and karma, will briefly visit the heavens of Aries from May 24, 2025 until September 1, 2025. It returns again in 2026 and onward. As it is the planet of hardship but also perseverance, we will find that we face karmic lessons on how we have utilized our Aries energy. Aries rules self-promotion, our face and head, our independence and individuality, as well as innate desires, passions, and plans. Aries also aligns with war, anger, and conquest, and we will find that we individually face a reckoning around how we have pursued these areas of our lives in the past three decades. When it comes to global affairs, there will be karmic decisions and situations around Aries-ruled industries and projects—“being the first to market,” “being the one breaking ground,” and beyond. The following industries will see challenges, restrictions, or revisions: sports, gambling, theme parks, military and weapons, metal, cars, facial beauty products and reconstruction, anything facial-oriented, meat, and anything entrepreneurial or thrill seeking. Self-help and wellness companies that focus on “being a leader” and “stepping into your power” will face judgement. However, it is also crucial to note that now that we all live in the digital world of “self-promotion,” which ties to any social media or branding presence, these, too, will be up for judgment and karmic changes. How one promotes, what one promotes, or what one has pursued will all be up for review. There will likely be certain “tough love” that comes to each of us and we will witness a sharp contrast between what people think is “healthy ego” versus “unhealthy ego.” On a negative note, this could once again stir karmic battles, conflicts, and war as a need to face the devastation that can come from them. Saturn Retrograde begins on July 12, 2025 at 1 degrees Aries until November 27, 2025 where he awakens at 25 degrees Pisces.

Neptune, the Great Diffuser, will venture into the realm of Aries for the first time in nearly 165 years. The last time Neptune was in Aries was during the American Civil War. Neptune is in Aries from March 30, 2025, to October 22, 2025, and later from January 26, 2026, to May 21, 2038, and then October 21, 2038, to March 23, 2039. Neptune, as a planetary archetype, brings spirituality, emotion, healing, and imagination to the realm that it occupies. These are the heightened vibrations we can expect. However, it also brings illusion, delusion, escapism, fantasy, manipulation, addiction, and imprisonment. Because of this, as Neptune moves through Aries, we will face the highs and lows of the Aries themes. Aries-ruled industries and projects will be touched by Neptunian spirituality, imagination, or delusion—“being the first to market,” “being the one breaking ground,” and beyond. The following industries will see evolution in the years to come: sports, gambling, theme parks, military and weapons, metal, cars, facial beauty products and reconstruction, anything facial-oriented, meat, and anything entrepreneurial or thrill seeking. Battle, conflict, and war will become more spiritual and psychological. We will likely witness the emergence of new spiritual, creative, and psychological leaders, too—who may pave the path to new movements, particularly in relation to the individual “owning their power and destiny.” Neptune Retrograde begins on July 4, 2025 at 2 degrees of Aries. Neptune will turn direct later in the year on December 10, 2025 at 10 degrees of Pisces.

Pluto, the planet of rebirth, death, transformation, and domination, will orbit in Aquarius until March 8, 2043, at which point it will weave in and out of Aquarius and Pisces. We are officially entering the Age of Aquarius on more a profound level as Pluto inches ever closer to where the Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn took place at the end of 2020. This will set off a chain reaction of events that will unfold over the coming two decades ahead. Pluto is a planet of intensity, destruction, transformation and rebirth. In a sense, Pluto is like a phoenix — burning down what does not work in order to rise again. Plutonian energy is very often malefic — bringing forth dramatic and painful experiences in order to shed light on truth and bring us incredibly profound growth. On one hand, Pluto can provide tremendous opportunities for renewal, new beginnings and spiritual and financial growth. However, the negative aspects of this mighty planet often lead to obsession, victimization, domination, power struggles, tyrannical control, war and death. All of the themes that Aquarius rules will experience upheaval during this time: social organization, social media, the Internet, humanitarianism, technology, equality and civil rights, socialism, space travel and exploration, and astrology. On January 10, 2025, Pluto will enter pre-shadow and begin to slow down (at 1 degrees Aquarius). Pluto retrograde begins on May 4, 2025 (at 3 degrees Aquarius). The intensity of Pluto’s energy will be turned within and less vivid in our physical worlds, which could lighten some of the karmic lessons. Pluto will turn direct in Aquarius on October 13, 2025 (at 1 degrees Aquarius).

From July 7, 2025 until November 7, 2025, Uranus dances into the skies of Gemini. This will echo out into the second half of the decade. Everything that Gemini rules will be open to upheaval, radical change, and a more futuristic flair: communications (such as advertising, branding, marketing, podcasting, blogging, web design, and all industries connected to these areas and to a limited degree of publishing, but especially short-form content), the mind, travel (especially short-distance travel), academics and learning, and social media. It is also likely to note that during this transit, life will “speed up” even more rapidly, as we are inundated with stimuli at nearly every turn. Because of this, there may even be a movement of people who seek to “detach” from the constant receipt of technology and information and who instead prioritize a very different approach. Those who work in Gemini-ruled businesses will experience powerful transformations and may rise in prominence, influence, and power—especially if they take an “outside of the box” approach: writers, speakers, education, travel, communications, air-related industries, aeronautics, journalism, linguistics, tourism, and to a limited degree, politics. Last to note is that as an Air sign, we can expect actual switches in air on our planet: air pollution, cloud cover, the jet stream, storms (especially windstorms, dust storms, tornadoes, and hurricanes), air-borne viruses, and around animals that soar through the skies. (This is doubly impactful due to Pluto in Aquarius, a fellow Air sign, for two decades.)

Mercury will become a supercharged battery in Leo June 26, 2025 until September 2, 2025. Our thoughts, words, and texts will be grand and theatrical. We likely will feel more expressive and confident. We can be especially persuasive at this time—but may be a bit more interested in our own ideas than others. Command a room with your speech and watch people be awe inspired by you. However, we are approaching a Mercury retrograde phase entirely in Leo. Leo enters pre-shadow: June 30, 2025 (4 degrees Leo); Mercury stations retrograde: July 17, 2025 (15 degrees Leo); Mercury stations direct: August 10, 2025 (4 degrees Leo); Mercury leaves post-shadow: August 25, 2025 (15 degrees Leo). Mercury Retrograde is an excellent time to return to the past, especially around romance, dating, exes, or old flames. This is a sweet period to try to “feel like a kid again” and enjoy hobbies, sports, creative projects, and pleasure from days gone by. From July 30, 2025 until August 25, 2025, Venus will enter Cancer. Venus loves to be in Cancer, as she can exhibit her sensitive, emotional, and sensual nature so easily. Romance is tender for us all at this time, and we will feel highly protective of everyone we care deeply for. During this period, we will feel drawn to attach ourselves to people and be especially devoted and loyal. Affection and cuddling will infiltrate your heart and you will feel eager to bring your heart and body close to someone who values you. Our beloved planet of pleasure and beauty, Venus, becomes ignited within the zodiac sign of Leo from August 25, 2025 until September 19, 2025. Feel the surge of adrenaline! Then, fiery Mars also energizes the zodiac sign of Libra from August 6, 2025 until September 22, 2025. During this period, relationship matters will become especially important to us—whether they be romantic, business, or collaborative. Flying solo won’t interest us quite as much at this time. The Sturgeon Moon arrives on August 9, 2025 at 12:55 AM (Pacific) at 17 degrees of Aquarius. We’ll be able to feel it already creeping in by August 7, 2025 and notice it linger until August 13, 2025. The situations arising now will be closely linked to the themes and conversations that followed the new moon in Aquarius (9 degrees) on January 29, 2025. This year, the Sturgeon Moon is also a full moon in Aquarius. This Air sign’s energy will be infused into our lives. Aquarius is the eleventh zodiac sign on the wheel and is the polarity of Leo. This means that both zodiac signs hold ties to our passions, sense of expression, aspirations and how we connect to others—whether that is in love or friendship.
