October is upon us—and it truly is the beginning of one of the slowest periods in 2026. Just as we kick off “spooky” season and head toward Halloween, Venus retrograde arrives from the very onset of the month. This will bring a great deal of nostalgia and confusion around Venusian-related themes: love, relationships, beauty, aesthetics, and intimacy. We are likely to cross paths with people, situations, and discussions related to the past—either to bring them back to life and our attention or to release and find closure once and for all. In fact, refer back to eight years ago—similar themes may emerge now. Later in the month, Mercury will retrograde—bringing confusion to the mind, technology, communication, and our daily affairs—and both of these cycles last officially until the middle of November and then linger for weeks beyond. However, “retrogrades” don’t have to be a bad thing. In fact, we may enjoy reconnecting with the past, going with the flow, and living in the moment. On June 30, 2026 until July 26, 2027, Jupiter, our Great Benefic, will dance into the kingdoms of Leo. This is an excellent place for Jupiter to be and we will likely enjoy this period quite much, as well. This is one of the best periods in a twelve-year cycle for singles to line up new suitors, find a soulmate, and fall in love. Dating, courtship, and romance on all levels will become more important to us and easier to come by. However, serial dating, hookups, and passionate whirlwind love affairs that burn hot but fizzle out may become even more prominent. Be aware of this and what your heart truly wants. Next to note is that we will feel expressive, daring, bold, and creative. However, this can also encourage individuals to be more fierce, egotistical, and risky, as we may prioritize our own ideas, thoughts, and motivations above others because Leo is a Fixed Fire sign. We may feel like “we’re the star” as opposed to others, which may ruffle feathers as people compete for the spotlight. Neptune, as a planetary archetype, brings spirituality, emotion, healing, and imagination to the realm that it occupies. These are the heightened vibrations we can expect. However, it also brings illusion, delusion, escapism, fantasy, manipulation, addiction, and imprisonment. Because of this, as Neptune moves through Aries, we will face the highs and lows of the Aries themes. Pluto, the planet of rebirth, death, transformation, and domination, will orbit in Aquarius until March 8, 2043, at which point it will weave in and out of Aquarius and Pisces. This will set off a chain reaction of events that will unfold over the coming two decades ahead. Pluto is a planet of intensity, destruction, transformation and rebirth. In a sense, Pluto is like a phoenix — burning down what does not work in order to rise again. Plutonian energy is very often malefic — bringing forth dramatic and painful experiences in order to shed light on truth and bring us incredibly profound growth. On one hand, Pluto can provide tremendous opportunities for renewal, new beginnings and spiritual and financial growth. However, the negative aspects of this mighty planet often lead to obsession, victimization, domination, power struggles, tyrannical control, war and death. Uranus dances into the skies of Gemini beginning April 25, 2026 until 2033. This will echo out into the second half of the decade. Because of this, there may even be a movement of people who seek to “detach” from the constant receipt of technology and information and who instead prioritize a very different approach. Mercury, our cosmic messenger, spins in Scorpio from September 30, 2026 until December 6, 2026. When Mercury decides to spin in the intense, passionate, and emotional seas of Scorpio our minds will take a deep dive into our desires. Our conscious minds will be more open to the wells of unconscious, as Scorpio’s energy is probing and fathomless. We may suddenly become obsessed with ideas or concepts. Our darker nature may emerge at this time and our shadow self could be rearing its hunger for us to confront. What are you running from, hiding from, or fearful to face? No matter who you are, by being aware of your shadow self, you can better integrate your awareness with your consciousness. As night cannot exist without day, darkness cannot exist without light. Our darker selves deserve to be embraced, cherished, and understood, rather than hidden away. This awareness can lead us to happier lives. Our intuition will also be heightened. As for Venus, we have been in Venus pre-shadow since August 31, 2026 (at 22 degrees Libra) and heading toward a Venus retrograde period that lasts through October and the first half of November. From August 31, 2026 onward, we may start to feel a haze around beauty and relationships, as well as get hints of what is to be reviewed in the upcoming Venus retrograde cycle. Nostalgia, reflection, or situations and relationships from the past may start to return to us or be on our minds. From September 10, 2026 until October 25, 2026, Venus becomes submerged within the depths of Scorpio. During this time, we will yearn for connections that unite our body and soul with another. Relationships will become deeply passionate—and our hunger for love will become ravenous.
